ABOUT THE CITY
The City of Clyde Hill is a Non-Charter Code City located in the Seattle Metro area of Washington State. The City is governed by a Mayor-Council form of government, with 5 elected Councilmembers and 1 elected Mayor. The City staff are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Mayor.
The
City of Clyde Hill has the unique distinction of spectacular views of
Lake Washington, Mount Rainer, the Olympic Mountains, the Cascade
Mountain range and the Seattle or Bellevue skyline from its many higher
elevations. The City's park-like towering evergreens and a lush
profusion of northwestern foliage on public and private property are
the pride of its friendly citizens and a delight to visitors.
The City is advantageously located adjacent to downtown Bellevue and just across the bridge from Seattle.
Clyde
Hill is fortunate to be located within a region that is characterized
by remarkable natural beauty. Our proximity to a wide range of outdoor
recreation, great schools, larger city opportunities and scenic charm
are important parts of the quality of life enjoyed by City residents.
