Demolition Permit

Demolition Permits are regulated through Chapter 15.07 of the Clyde Hill Municipal Code.  If you plan to demolish a building or structure, you must submit the following:

  • Demolition Permit Application
  • Two copies of the site plan with erosion control details
  • Verification from the City of Bellevue of the disconnection of water and sewer service
  • $250 application fee
  • $500 cash bond deposit

This $500 bond is returnable if the Building Inspector approves the site clean-up and verifies that no damage has been done to City streets, drainage systems or rights-of-way during the project.

The City of Bellevue provides sanitary sewer and water utilities for the City of Clyde Hill; therefore, you must meet their demolition requirements as well.

Demolition may not proceed until:

  • You have received an approved demolition permit from the City Engineer
  • All utilities have been properly disconnected and inspected
  • You have met the Clyde Hill Building Inspector on-site for a pre-demo meeting.  You will be required to show certification of oil tank removal and asbestos removal

All demolition work must be performed without creating hazardous conditions on the property or the public right-of-way.  Debris shall be removed from the premises and all clean-up work shall be completed within 30 days of permit issuance.  The Clyde Hill Building Inspector shall be called for an inspection immediately following the demo and clean-up work.
