New Bills Clarifying Police Reform Laws in Washington

The attached power point provides information about recently signed HB 1719 (concerning use and acquisition of military equipment by law enforcement agencies), HB 1735 and HB 2037 (modifying the standard for the use of force by peace officers). We have provided this training to each of our Clyde Hill Officers in order to better serve the community safely and constitutionally. We share this information with you so that our citizens may educate themselves on these new bills and better understand what adjustments and changes are taking place within their local Police Department.
