Apply to Serve on City Council, Planning Commission, and Budget Advisory Committee

Clyde Hill residents interested in serving their city are invited to apply for the following appointed positions, expected to open in January 2024:

  • City Council position 1 (expected vacancy, term ends December 2025)
  • Planning Commission position 1 (expected vacancy, term ends December 2024)
  • Planning Commission position 5 (open position, term ends December 2027)
  • Budget Advisory Committee member (multiple positions available, commitment is for one year)

Applications are due Friday, December 15th at 2:00 PM. To be eligible for appointment to the Clyde Hill City Council, you must have continuously resided within Clyde Hill city limits for a minimum of one year prior to your appointment, as well as be a registered voter in the City of Clyde Hill. To be eligible for appointment to the Planning Commission and Budget Advisory Committee, you are not required to be a current resident of Clyde Hill or a voter, however it is preferred.


City Council Vacancy

The City Council meets regularly at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of each month, with additional meetings scheduled as needed. Councilmembers may also be expected to serve as liaisons to various regional boards and commissions.

Planning Commission Open Seat & Vacancy

The Planning Commission meets regularly at 7:00 PM on the fourth Thursday of each month, with possible additional meetings scheduled as needed.

Interested residents may apply online or pick up an application form at City Hall (9605 NE 24th St, Clyde Hill, WA 98004).

Budget Advisory Committee

The Budget Advisory Committee meets on an ad-hoc basis according to member's general availability. In 2024, the Budget Advisory Committee will convene in January for a series of meetings to develop a Long-term Financial Sustainability Plan for Clyde Hill. Additional meetings will occur in Summer and Fall of 2024 to assist with development of the 2025 Clyde Hill Budget.
